Well, Lee caught #4 running down the hallway earlier this evening...
We are considering driving up to North Dakota during our trip in the Spring to show the girls where I lived as a child. My hope is that Lee falls in love with the area and decides to move up there and start a sunflower farm...

That is EXACTLY how I felt the first time we saw one but this now makes about eight in the four and a half years we've lived here (only the third live one though) so I'm *starting* to get used to it. But I do really, really dislike having to get up in the middle of the night and putting my feet on the dark floor after we have found one of those things, yuck.
The picture makes it look huge but it was a really little one, maybe an inch long. Lee researched them after we found the first one. Their sting will definitely not feel good but these aren't a truly poisonous kind. Tori used to call them lobsters ;).

No, they most definitely aren't welcome guests. I have only had to ever catch one of them by myself. Oh, what a sight THAT would have been had anyone been looking on! I don't like bugs of any sort!!!
Our surplus of glass peanut butter jars sure have come in handy lately!
I found your comment on Crystal's blog to be very interesting and articulate. I came over to your blog and found a picture of one of my biggest nightmares!!! Boy was I not prepared for that! I grew up with those nasty things in our house all spring and summer and I have a VERY REAL PHOBIA now. We actually found one in our house this summer and I wanted to move! Bless your heart, I hope you don't find any more of them. Shake your clothes and check your covers!
